Outreach Activities and Professional Service
Actively served as a member of the organizing team for the Science Festival “Chemical Curiosities” at Science City, Kolkata, West Bengal, India, on February 9, 2011, in collaboration with Prof. Herbert W. Roesky (Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany) and Prof. Swadhin K. Mandal (IISER Kolkata, India). I spent three months optimizing nearly 30 reactions, while mentoring two BS-MS students, Dr. Bibek Samanta (now a researcher at Nokia Bell Labs, NJ, USA) and Dr. Saswata Roy (now a theoretical chemist at Rutgers University, Newark, USA), making the event both educational and inspiring for audiences of all ages. For details, please see the attached PDF.
Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities through the training of master’s students, summer interns, Ph.D. candidates, and newly joined postdoctoral researchers. Extensive practical experience includes formulating and designing research problems, along with strong project-management skills encompassing project design, proposal development, manuscript preparation, effective team leadership, and collaborative teamwork. For details, please see the attached PDF.
Delivered several organometallic chemistry lectures to BS-MS students during the PhD program.
External reviewer of the Advanced Science journal.
